Applications are invited for MS and Ph.D. admissions in the Department of Economics against limited seats as per the schedule given below:
Eligibility Criteria
- (MS Program)
- Sixteen years of education (124-130 Credit Hours) after HSSC/F.Sc / Grade 12 equivalents in the relevant subject with at least 2.50 CGPA from a recognized University as per HEC rules OR MA/ MSc in the relevant subjects with at least second division or equivalent grade in case the candidate is from the annual system.
- Specific eligibility criteria shall also be applicable for admissions as per HEC rules like the NTS type test.
- (Ph.D. Program)

- The last date for submission of Admission forms is October 20, 2022
Guidelines for PhD (Economics) entrance test/interviews
Please pay attention to the instructions and guidelines below;
Test:
- The entrance test will be conducted physically at KIU main campus.
- The duration of the entrance test will be 120 minutes.
- There will be MCQs and comprehensive questions in the entry test. These questions are divided into many areas. View the table below showing the marks distribution.
- Test date October 23, 2022, at 2:00 PM
- Interview October 28, 2022, at 11:00 AM
- If a candidate uses unethical methods or doesn't adhere to the rules, he/she will be excluded from the test and his/her name won't be on the merit list of the candidates.
Interviews:
- Interview calls will only be made for shortlisted candidates
- The relevant committees will conduct in-person interviews with individuals who have been shortlisted.
- We expect that applicants will be well-read and have visited the websites of reputable international publishers to read scholarly works.
- On October 28, 2022, shortlisted candidates will be interviewed.
